WELL OFF BARN GOES 2 ALARMS
Tue, Jan 12th, 2010 6:46:00 pm -  Just before 17:00 hrs, Company 7-9 and surrounding Companies were dispatched to 970 Colebrook Road for a reported Barn on fire. Chief 7-11 approx 1/2 mile out confirming a working fire. Deputy 7-9 (Mohr) then advised LCWC to start the 2nd alarm tankers. Chief 7-11 arrived with a 30x70 utility barn, 50% well involved; He then established the "7-9" Command. Engine 7-9-2 dropped 1100ft of 5in supply line from Donegal Springs Road. Engine 7-11-1 arrived and was put to work on the Delta side of the barn for fire suppression. Engine 7-9-2's crew deployed 2 hand lines to the Bravo side to protect exposures. Both engine were supplied by tankers until Engine 7-1-2 arrived and secured a water supply from the creek on Donegal Springs Road. Once the truck companies got set up for master stream operations, the ground monitors were kept in place until the balk of the fire was knocked down. Suppression Supervisor (Deputy 7-9) advised the 7-9 Command to request Haz-Mat 2-9 for run off issues, as well as BR Krider for an Excavator. At 20:05 hrs, Chief 7-9-3 (Splain) took over the Command and marked fire was under control. 2 Hand lines were kept in place on the Charlie/Delta to assist BR Krider with over-haul
