5 RUNS FOR THE DAY WITH A WORKING JOB

At 11:13 Hrs Engine 7-9-2 was dispatched to 130 West Front Street For an Auto Alarm. Engine 7-9-2 was placed in service with-in minutes.

Shortly after Engine 7-9-2 was alerted to assist Station 7-4 (E-Town) for a reported Building Fire at the Elizabethtown High School. Engine 7-9-2 went with 6 personnel and Lt. 7-9-4 (Jason Barclay) in the seat. Crews from 7-4 arrived with reports of a fire in the library. Upon investigating the fire was out, and Engine 7-9-2 went in service.

15:49 hrs. Once crews went in service, Communications advised the 7-4 Commanding Officer of a house to be on fire at 130 E. Washington Street, Communications also advised Chief 7-4-2 (Kinsey) of multiple calls reporting a working fire. Chief (Kinsey) arrived with a 3 story duplex, confirming a working fire. Engine 7-9-2 arrived with Engine 7-4-2 with-in minutes. Crews from 7-9 and 7-4 deployed a 2" attic line off the front of Engine 7-9-2 and went to work. Once entry was made into the 3rd division they encountered heavy heat with low visibility. Truck 7-4 arrived and went into service using their master stream to help knock the fire. With a quick and aggressive knock the fire was contained to one unit. Around 16:41 hrs the incident was placed under control.

At 16:55 hrs Rescue 7-9 was requested to assist Susquehanna Police Department with a search detail.

To end the night Company 7-9 was dispatched to 53 Village Square Drive for an investigation. Chief 7-9-3 (Splain) marked up and communications advised him of a ceiling fan to be on fire. Rescue 7-9 went with 5 and Captain 7-9-2 (Risser) in the seat. Chief (Splain) arrived with nothing showing from side Alpha, he then established the 7-9 command. Upon investigating crews found the ceiling fan to be out with no extension into the rest of the residence. Command 7-9 placed the incident under control at 19:47 hrs.
