FIRE SHOWING FROM THE NEW DONEGAL HIGH SCHOOL
Thu, Mar 22nd, 2012 4:19:00 pm - 19:50 Hrs, Engine 792, and Rescue 791 were alerted to the area of 915 Anderson Ferry Road for a possible School on Fire. Chief 75 was advised of fire showing from windows and on the roof of the new Donegal High School off of Koser Road. Engine 792 made the response staffed with 5 and the Rescue behind staffed with 5 personnel. Chief 75 arrived to find visible fire showing from the middle of the School and established the 75 Command. Engine 792 arrived and completed the LDH lay from Engine 751, and then began advancing an attack line into the building. Crews from Engine 751 and Engine 792 advanced approx 400 feet into the building until they made the fire room. Due to zero visibility, it was difficult for first in crews to locate the room of origin. Once the room of origin was located, crews were able to get a quick knock on the fire with a 2.5" Attack Line. First in crews where then replaced for extensive over-haul. Multiple Companies operated on the scene to assist with Over-haul and Ventilation on the building. Company 79 was back in service around 23:50 Hrs.

Rescue/Engine 41 Covered the Township for the duration of the Incident.
