FIRE SHOWING IN RIVERMOOR
Tue, Apr 26th, 2011 8:15:00 pm - Around 16:34 Hrs, Company 7-9 along with surrounding departments were alerted to 267 Rivermoor Drive for a reported apartment building on fire.  Engine 792 hit the street with-in seconds staffed with 4 personnel followed by the Rescue. Deputy 7-10 reported 2 blocks out with a smoke condition and to start the working fire assignment awhile. Due to the hydrant system being out of service in the area, the Tanker task force was requested for a 2nd dairy water source and the remainder of the 2nd alarm was alerted.  Deputy 7-10 then arrived to find heavy fire on the first floor and set up the 79 Command. Engine 792 arrived and began with the fire attack while Engine 7-10-1 went to the exposure building to check for extension. Truck 75 arrived and began opening the roof up. With-in minutes first in crews had a bulk of the fire knock and checking for extension. Great Job to The Wagon Crew and Engine 7-10-1’s crew for a quick aggressive knock on the fire! 16:50 Hrs, Deputy 7-10 transferred the Command over to Chief 7-9-1, and he held the assignment to Company 7-9, and 7-10 and had Rescue 41 transfer to Station 7-9 along with Engine 55-1 from Highspire. Thanks to the stand-by units for assisting on cleaning up!
