Saturday, May 10, 2008 - Today the Wagon with a crew of 5 headed to Dauphin County Station 59 in Lower Swatara Township to provide cover service for their Open House and Building Dedication Ceramony. The wagon didnt take in any alarms while it was running as Engine 59 but the crew had a good time visiting with brothers and celebrating the Open House and Dedication.  | | Our Wagon and Rescue 88 staging at the end of the ramp |

Wednesday, April 30, 2008 - With the help from Ken Hudson from LCPSTC, members from our station completed the yearly refresher on Haz-Mat Operations.  |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 - After a long wait Tanker 7-9 starts to become reality again. As of 4/18/2008 a Peterbuilt 340 Chassis was ordered and was being delivered to the manufacturer. The tanker will be expected to arrive in 6 to 8 months. |

Sunday, April 20, 2008 - At 5:43 hrs Rescue 7-9 and Engine 7-9-2 were dispatched on the 41-02 box in Wrightsville Boro for an apartment building fire with people reported trapped. Rescue 7-9 marked up with Chief (Kosheba) in the seat with a crew of 6. Engine 7-9-2 went minutes later with a crew of 5 and FF (McCarty) in the seat. Rescue 7-9 arrived and Command 41 advised them to meet up with Engine 41’s crew, which advanced to the second floor and working towards the fire room, while Truck 8-1 went to work on the search. Crews encountered heavy fire and heat within multiple rooms of the structure. Good work under heavy fire conditions held the fire to the original fire building with no extension to the exposures. Multiple companies worked for numerous hours to control the fire. Engine 7-9-2 arrived minutes behind the Rescue and laid in form a near-by hydrant to assist on the exposure building. While Rescue 7-9 was placed available, Command 7-6 requested our assistance for manpower on an Environmental rescue at Chiques rock. The Rescue was advised of a female patient that feel off the cliff approximately 120 feet. Crews remained on the scene for about an hour.   | | Ricky Brown Image © 2008 |

Monday, April 14, 2008 - Around 7:52 hrs, Hallam Borough was dispatched for a reported structure fire with entrapment. Hallam and Wrightsville crews en route with update of working structure fire which brought Rescue 7-9 for the (R.I.T) and Tower 8-1. Rescue 7-9 went with 5 and Chief 7-9-2 (Loucks) in the seat. Crews from 21,41,and 16 arrived to find a working fire in the attic. When the Rescue arrived the set up the R.I.T while other crews made an aggressive attack to contain the fire to the attic. Sunday, April 13, 2008 - On Sunday Fire Fighters Josh Barclay, Andrew Houston and Joel Ulrich challenged the Fire Fighter 1 Practical exam. After passing the written exam they made their way to the Bucks County Community College Public Training Center to challenge the practical exam. After a long and stressful day the Maytown East-Donegal Township Fire Dept. is please to say all three have successfully passed and are now Pro Board certified. Congrats guys on your great performance. |

Saturday, April 12, 2008 - At 1:06 on Saturday morning Station 7-9 and 7-1 were alerted to Long Lane and 441 for a MVA with reported entrapment. Capt. 7-9-1 (Soders) marked up and Communications advised him of a one car crash in the field. Rescue 7-9 then marked up with a crew of 7 and Chief 7-9 (Kosheba) in the seat. Capt. 7-9-1 (Soders) arrived to find a one-car crash overturned, with a female patient still inside and also advised communications that he will take the 7-9 Command. Deputy 7-9 (Mohr) arrived and established the extraction supervisor position, and advised the Rescue when they arrive to perform a 2-door swing to the driver’s side. Engine 7-9-2 arrived and Command advised them to assist with stabilization and set up the suppression. Patient was in care of EMS in 12 minutes.  |

Tuesday, April 1, 2008 - To start the day off, Around 7:12 Rescue 7-9 was alerted to 998 Deer Forest Road in York County for a reported Dwelling fire. Rescue 7-9 hit the street with 6 and L.T 7-9-2 (Splain) in the seat. Chief 41 arrived on scene to find a fully involved vehicle next to a structure. Chief 41 also advised County to redirect Rescue 7-9 and Truck 8-1 to his station for a Stand-By. Rescue 7-9 returned back to Lancaster County at 8:03.
Second R.I.T run for the day. At 9:03 hrs Rescue 7-9 was dispatched to assist Station 7-19 at Oakleaf Manor North for a reported Building Fire. Rescue 7-9 went en route with 6 and L.T (Splain) in the seat. Chief 7-19 arrived to a light smoke condition on the inerior. Rescue 7-9 arrived and assisted with the evacuation. Rescue 7-9 then went available 10:44.
While crews were getting back from 7-19, Company 7-9 was alerted to Rockpoint Road and Colebrook Road for a Vehicle Accident Class 2. Rescue 7-9 went en route with 5 and L.T. 7-9-2 (Splain) in the seat. Chief 7-9-3 (Brinser) arrived to find a 2 vehicle crash with no injuries. Chief 7-9-3 (Brinser) then held the responce to the Rescue for hazzards on the roadway.  |

Saturday, March 8, 2008 - This evening crews from Station 79 manned apparatus at York Station 41 and Dauphin Station 59, while those departments held their annual awards banquets. With 79 personnel operating in 3 counties, our Juniata Brothers from Mifflintown Hose Company #1 sent a crew to fill in our appartus with our remaining personnel. The crews operating in York and Lancaster Counties had an eventfull evening due to a fast running storm system that created multiple problems with trees, wires, and power outages. The crews operating at Lower Swatara in Dauphin County, had a quiet evening. They enjoyed an excellent meal the luxurious new firehouse that is home to Company 59. |

Thursday, March 6, 2008 - Around 13:40 hrs 30 minutes into a working building fire the Rescue from 7-9 was requested for the R.I.T. Rescue 7-9 marked up with 8 and Captain 7-9-1 (Soders) in the seat. Upon arrival crews set up the R.I.T. Crews then were released from R.I.T at 16:50 hrs.
While the Rescue was still on the 2nd Alarm Building fire in Columbia, Squad 7-9 and the Engine got hit out for an MVA with unknown injuries in the area of Stackstown Road and Beattys Tollgate Road. Squad 7-9 and the Engine hit the street 10 personnel. Chief 7-9 (Kosheba) arrived on the scene and advised communications of a two-car crash one-vehicle vs. an oil tanker, and one patient possible sign off. Squad 7-9 and the Engine arrived and de-powered the vehicle and checked the oil tanker for any hazards. No Hazards were found. Command 7-9 (Kosheba) placed the box in service at 16:46 hrs  |
